This may be old news to many readers but it never hurts to remind ourselves of some of the basics:
MS occurs more frequently with increasing distance from the equator, where there is less solar ultraviolet-B (UVB) light. More sun exposure throughout life is associated with a reduced risk of MS. Fewer disease symptoms are reported in summer, when there is more sunlight (and thus, more synthesis of vitamin D). MS occurs more frequently in spring (i.e., when vitamin D levels are lowest). I could go on, but if you haven't explored the possibility of the role Vitamin D3 (Cholicalciferol) may play in helping to either prevent or ameliorate MS, then it might be worth your time to look into this further. A terrific place to start is by reading through some of the information provided by the Vitamin D Council. Just Google them and then enter "Multiple Sclerosis" in the Search Terms in the upper right corner of their homepage... |

I get no sun except what filters in through the windows. I take 10,000 IU of D3 every day. I've been taking it now for about two years. It's very inexpensive and sure beats getting overheated in the sun.

It is important to have your D level checked (bloodtest) before starting D3. In that way your D level can be monitored periodically for the best results.
I use D3 ... 5000iu.
