Default Feel weepy today:(

Feeling really weepy today.. hubby is working back in our hometown.. the house is up for sale..and he will be returning on friday and stay for the weekend and do another open-house since we've listed it privately .

I have a Johnny Reid concert to go to with my 18 yr old son..really looking forward to that.. got front row which is going to be amazing.

Then the next day at 8:30 a.m. a family friend will pick up daughter and I and will bring us to the MS clinic in Toronto where I finally will see neuro there.

They phoned yesterday to confirm and they will do an mri there.. following the apt.. our friend will drive Haylee and I to Union Station in Toronto where we will catch the 7Pm train to our hometown (Windsor Ont.) so Haylee and I will be in Union station for hours.. when hubby comes this weekend he will take our luggage so I don't have to carry it we won't arrive until 11pm that evening.

This is so out of my comfort zone..feeling really stressed.. exhausted.. using my cane which helps...

I'm feeling down because I have lost so much.. my Mum , hubby, sister, and I will be going to another Johnny concert on the friday night..really excited for that because she gets to meet him for the first time at a M & G I do consider him my friend and he has always treated me that way, so it will be nice to see and talk with him again.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this ..really tired..spasms have not let up.. I'm really looking forward to the concert back home and seeing Johnny again.. but I'm really struggling with my mobility issues.. I really want to look nice and wear a skirt with heels..low heels mind you..( I will always be a girly-girl) but feeling like everyone will stare at me with my cane.. I can't tell you how many looks of pity I get when I go out.. I know.. I know.. I need a kick in the pants..

I guess what I'm saying that this is my new normal and sometimes it just SUCKS!

Thanks for letting me vent
Cindy

Cindy

I do understand what you're describing. I feel like this sometimes with my cane. But it helps me get around and be able to participate in life so it's just what I do.

Good luck at the MS clinic. I know you've waited a long time for this appointment. Be sure to let us know how things went.

I hope you enjoy the concert.....sounds like a lot of fun! We want pictures!!

Hi Cindy- glad that appointment is finally here- and the MRI!

The cane is a good tool if you need it. It keeps you upright. I get the bummer effect, tho. Could you jazz it up w some glo in the dark paint or some silver tape. Be creative.

It sounds like that will be a really long day for any one. Harder w the MS. Can't think of anything to help there.

Let us know about the MS visit when you can and good luck!

Re: mobility

I am a rollator person. I tried using a cane when I started having mobility problems, but it seems that coordination is a challenge for me, so I’d trip over the cane as much as anything else. The fact is that I have never fallen while using my rollator, and I feel secure with it. A rollator is a bit conspicuous, but with it I can stand straight and tall, allowing me to carry myself with dignity. I also like to maintain a pleasant expression. I’m not miserable, so there’s no reason to look like I am. Smile, for cryin’ out loud!

Aww Cindy, weepy is perfectly acceptable here, on occasion. We all understand.

Good luck with your visit to the MS clinic and your MRI...and have a wonderful time at the concert, you lucky devil!!

Take a deep breath and forge ahead.
