Default My daughter thinks she may have MS

She has a lot of pins and needles feelings in her feet and legs, cold spots on her legs and increasing cognitive problems. She already has one auto immune disease. She knows that there are many problems that can cause these problems. Her sister has chronic fatuige and my sister has fibromyalgia. She also has depression. She had a hard marriage in which she had to always be the strong one and the heavy. She is on Chantix to quit smoking.

Oh no Doydie. I hope it's just temporary sx and not MS. Prayers are on their way for DD and for your Family.

This daughter has been my absolute rock. My other daughter lives out of town and she is the one that I am a sold mate to. But this one is my physical strength, the one who can make me laugh and do something I didn't think I could do. She is the one who will do a two day yard sale with me and I know that she will be doing most of the work and force me to go inside and sit. She is the one that can move furniture whether she has the strength to or not. She has 3 dogs that she takes to the dog park or brings over to our house because we have a yard where they can be free to run. One of these is a 90 pound boxer puppy. I would just hate to see her give up any of these things. Because of her husbands bad habits she chose not to have children so she is 32, childless and lives in a crappy house that she doesn't have enough money to pay the bills and works extra to pay them. She has given up cable, phone and internet just to pay bills. So she is a very strong and strong willed woman. I know if she does have MS she will be a much better patient than I am. She is a fighter and will fight each downfall that may be thrown at her. And then go cry in her own lousy house with her dogs

I'm sorry that you both have this stress to deal with Doydie. Hopefully it will turn out to be a vitamin deficiency or something else that's easy to remedy. Her financial situation must be hard on her, and could possible be contributing to her depression.

Either way, get her to start a symptom dairy. If she does have to see a specialist at some time down the way, it will be helpful to her and her doctor to have all that background information in front of them.

Hoping and praying that it is not MS, and the symptoms she has now will have a simple explanation.

I hope she's staying in touch with her PCP...could any of that be a side effect of Chantix?

Yes, there are a bunch of possible side effects with Chantrix. Too bad she can't throw out the DH problem and keep the dogs.

That's exactly what I was thinking, Sally! It would alleviate the stress and aggravation and that, in turn, would probably lessen her symptoms.

Oh she has thrown out the husband! She divorced him in November and he is already married! To the woman he was cheating on her with.

I will pray that she doesn't have MS and hopefully her loving dogs will give her strength no matter what is going on.
