Probably time to go to a doctor then.

Yeah, I'm calling the local clinic in the morning. A friend who works there says they should be able to get me in without having to be urgent care tomorrow. They can do x-rays or anything they need to there so I wont have to find a ride (or have my husband take off time from work) to go to a town 45 minutes from here!

I'm soaking it right now in warm water but I'm about to take it out, I tried boo boo buddies, kids' ice packs for owies ;) wrapped in towels earlier today for just a few minutes so I knew it couldn't be too cold. Nothing is helping and the swelling is getting worse

I will go in tomorrow and see what they say.

Thanks for your advise and concern everyone!

Alright, I went to the doctor this morning.

It's not fractured from what he can see, but he will have the radiologist look at it to make sure. I get to wear a post op shoe for the next week. If it doesn't get better or gets worse I have to go back.

The bump that feels like bone is a benign cyst. He says people have them for years and never know until they get an injury in that area.

Good that there's no fracture then, dont have to wait for bones to heal. Altho, sometimes a muscle or tendon takes longer. (I walked for the better part of a year on a ruptured achilles tendon about 10yrs ago before finally going to the doctor)

So, they're making you wear the really (UN)attractive footwear while it heals?

Yep, I get to wear that all through the garage sale we're having, but it should be off before the graduation party here for my friends daughter.

I'm still wearing an AFO (Ankle Foot Orthotic) for drop foot. At least out in public or when I go outside. (dont have any other shoes at the moment) The AFO is ugly and annoying. At least it's made out of a shoe and a couple pieces of metal and not a plastic one.

Hope your foot heals quick.
