Default I need a new schedule

I've got to think outside the stupid box, I guess. I'm giong through a period of fatigue, muscle spasticity, AND arthritis, and it doesn't take much to suck up all my spoons for a given day. A weekly schedule just isn't cutting it right now, so I'm trying to figure out another plan.

Yes, it would be nice if we could afford help (we can't), if my husband would do more (he's already doing as much as he physically can), if the kids would help (they're dealing with their own hard times). So I'm trying to figure out what I can stretch.

I'm already trying to get groceries every two weeks. That's pretty much a day's worth of spoons. I'm already showering less frequently. There's about 1/4 to 1/2 day of spoons. Obviously I can't clean the toilets every two weeks. I might invest $30-40 in socks and underwear, wash a white load 3x a month instead of every week.

I'm too tired to tonight to really think about this, but at least I've starting to think about thinking about it....

You may qualify for in home help. I would ask your MD at your next appointment what services he can schedule for you and hubby. They send house keepers, folks who can shop with or for you, and several other things. It may be time to ask.

I hear you Blessings.. You wouldn't believe what I've simplified around here to make my life easier.

I'm not crazy about having peeps here to clean, so I do it myself, all from my scooter. I'm not a perfectionist anymore but my house stays clean.

My home is small with hardwood laminate floors, no draperies or curtains and now that I don't smoke, no dirty cloud covering everything. I keep things clean amd neat as I go, so the weekly saturday chore is swiffer polishing the floors and furniture. I clean the BR daily.

I don't cook and use paperplates for me and dog.. We don't trip the light fantastic around here anymore so we don't cause much dust and dirt to accumulate.

Life is simple and so are we, now..
