Default Cant sleep, but im exhausted!

How silly! im so exhausted, and yet, I cant seem to drop off till the wee hours of the AM.

The room is dark, I am not watching TV. I meditate, the house is quiet. There is just no excuse to not be able to go. Im very tired, my eyes are closing on me, yet I get to the edge and cant fall off.

I feel sort of like that now. My sister has been here for a visit and even though she is gone now I'm still in "visitor mode" and can't relax. I hate that feeling of being so tired all you want to do is go to bed but once you do you just lie there wide awake.

I hope you get some sleep.

I have been having trouble sleeping myself. I even take meds that make me sleepy and they have been failing me. Im starting to think that insomnia is MS related.... no matter what my neuro says All my friends with MS say they also suffer from insomnia. MS sux

Sorry to hear this, Dej...I sometimes fall asleep in my cozy chair-then crawl up to bed and wham! The thinking machine gets going & I lie awake for hours...even tho I'm exhausted. I don't want to get hooked on sleeping pills, so I just let the night slip away...
Maybe we're napping too much during the day & our schedules are upside down...

That's your problem, Dej, IMHO. I can't go to sleep without the TV on. I put it on low and watch something interesting. The more I try to stay awake and watch it, I fall asleep..

Go with the flow..........

I have to have some sort of soft background noise, too. I put my TV on the music channel called Soundscapes. It's very relaxing instrumental music and it puts me right out.

Last night I didn't take my usual 1/2 benadryl, instead took a regular apirin cause I have weird pain rear left lower side of head. I didn't sleep well at all. Had swam 30 (most so far this yr) laps in the afternoon. I sure as heck wil be adding not replacing meds at night. Remember that's with 40mg Baclofen as well.

I have a totally sleepness night about every ten days. Two nights ago was one of these. My lower back spasmed all night in spite of taking magnesium, causing my legs to jerk over and over and over and over. At 5 AM I realized I should check the milligrams of my new magnesium, and found I had not taken enough. I took more and went to sleep.
But other things played into this sleeplessness, one of them being that I was too active and in the sun and heat on the weekend. Sun and heat will bring on a state of the neurons that preclude sleep sometimes.

I slept last night, after only a couple of hours of spasming and jerking. Slept until 9:30 AM.
