Default Is your natural product still natural?

Coke bought out Odwalla juice. Pepsi got Naked juice. burts bees sold to Clorox!

So many companies are figuring out that America is standing up and saying NO to their chemically laden products and high fructose corn syrups and aspertame heavy products, so they are now snapping up those natural companies that were in competition with them.

PLEASE pay attention to the ingredients of what you put in your body. I know if I eat chemical foods i feel horrible. These take overs scare me. Will they change the foods I have counted on?

White vinegar can be used for many of the commercial products on the market today. And there's no cruel animal testing or harmful chemicals used.

I'm with you, Dej. I read all labels. I buy many products at my natural foods co-op. Yes, vinegar is a help, too. I don't know, as you say, how long we will be able to trust products we like. I use Badger Balm ointment on my feet instead of Burt's Bees. Usually avoid anything labeled "natural flavors" because that is used as a euphemism for MSG.
Seventh Generation cleaning products at the natural foods store has been safe for me so far. I use their detergent for dishwasher and clothes washer, but use less in the clothes washer because I add baking soda. And the last rinse has nothing but baking soda. This keeps itchies out of clothes.
Even so-called natural sheets and clothing can come with formalin spray to keep them "smooth"--must be washed before use until odor recedes. It took four washes to get my new "organic" sheets usable, but they sure are pretty, and I needed new sheets badly.
I got them from the Company Store. Much more expensive ones may be bought from Giaim, but I think many things are overpriced at Giaim.
An organic sheet can be actually organic and then sprayed with formalin.

I find the unnecessary ingredient sucralose is being added to so many of my favorite products, I have become a real label-reader. If it already has a whole and natural form of real sugar in it, why add sucralose? Gr-r-r-r-r!

what kills me is when you read the label and it says 2 things then sugar...you think OK! im good, its not a diet product, then you read all the way to the tippy end of the list and there it is! Sucrulose! its SPLENDA! UGH! I cant eat that!

Think how many names they have for MSG. makes me dizzy.

Dej, I had quite a reaction to Splenda. I tried a half packet in a cup of java at the Natural Foods Store (Co-op,very good store). Before I got to the check out, I was so clumsy and spastic I could not check out. I tried, but the clerk thought I was having a serious attack and called 911. Of course this passed off quickly and I was once more embarrassed by 911 being called, but I have to steel myself to that possibility.

was at the hair dresser yesterday. DH was offered a cup of coffee while he waited. He rarely takes sugar, but said it was really strong, so he took 1 teaspoon. he said he almost spit it out! I could hear him making the pitoo ick sounds. Left my chair to check on him. He told me what was labled sugar was actually splenda. The hair dresser said "it measures like real sugar, did he take too much?" UGH! This is a woman who just had beast cancer last year. I got a chance to educate her.
