Default Anyone been on Ritalin LA?

I have been on Ritalin 25 mg for several years with satisfactory results. Like I told my husband, you fust find your new normal and get used to it. I take my dose in the morning but don't really feel stimulated until about 7 PM and then remnain peppy, well for me, until about MN. So come time to get a new prescription, my neuro asks if I would be willing to try Ritalin LA. Sure, I'm willing to try anything!!!! Took my first dose yesterday. I get almost a reverse effect for the first several hours then fell draggy until my usual 7 PM. The first couple of hours I am absolutely wiped out, like I have had a strong sedative, then just draggy. I will give it another couple of days before i call neuro.

I just checked my drug reference site, and read that long term ritalin was a total bust. The regular ritalin is still the standard ADD/ ADHD medication. It affects the prefrontal lobes of the brain where the executive functioning skills are located, and also the brainstem area of the brain.
