I hate bras, but without the bra, I have no breasts. They do make some that you stick on with glue or tape strips but I cant imagine those would be secure.
How do you get it on? Just curious. Thanks for your post concerning it. Maybe I'll give it a try.

its stretchy enough to slip it over your head like a T shirt. then you tug. remember, I have NO breasts to yank it over, so that helps.

it was quite stretchy, and easily came back to center. I thought it was a bit low cut, but it hugs pretty well, so it wont matter.

Goodluck.

Another question. Did you purchase the bra with pads or without? Thanks much for the information.

Dej, I applaud that you found a bra that works for you. Hard to do!

Jane, I'll look at Haband's and Dr. Leonard's. Often I waste postage by ordering from catalogs, because more and more the bras or clothes are imbued with formalin so strongly that I cannot even wash it out. Formalin is used often when fabrics are sent from overseas, to keep out bugs while in transit, I think. But it's formaldehyde. I got some new type bras from Hanes but I had to send them back after two full washing cycles did not remove the formalin. I sent for the bras I usually get from Hanes, "Bali Downtime", and they had only a slight amount of formalin which did wash out in two full cycles. The bras from Deva have NO formalin even from the beginning, because Deva prides itself in being a natural fabric purveyor.
I have to admit that I am angry that this is what we have come to, everything in our world made toxic. There always were toxins, which we bumped into occasionally, but now it's everywhere. I don't even bother entering Walmart or other big box stores. I know I will have to pay more to try to get toxic free. But the products from Deva and Hanes have not been overpriced, so far. I hope we can still buy a few things that are not toxic in coming years, however many we have.

The pads came WITH the bra, and on the top inside of the cup is a slit that the fake ones can slip into.

I have been reading reviews on the Genie bras. Very interesting and thank you for your post.

regardless of whether we still have what we were born with, got them made bigger or smaller or have prosthetics - isn't finding the right bra one giant pain in the ****? All I want is a well made, comfortable bra that lasts - that I dont need a home equity loan just to afford!

I just cant stand the feeling that I am being cut in two after ten minutes of wearing one. I KNOW its a nerve thing from MS, but there are times I want to look nice, or normal and not embarrass my inlaws, or my friends when we go some place nice and there I am ...boobless! everyone stares (its human nature) some snicker, some make comments, some dont care. Either way, its not supposed to be about my boobies when we go out, its supposed to be about a nice time.

Default Update on Genie bra

A couple weeks ago I purchased a Genie bra. According to the size chart I had the right one. However, it was difficult to get it on (over my head) and off but not impossible. It fit too tight for me even though it was the right size. So I took it back and got a size bigger. That one was also not so much fun getting on and off and besides that it was too wide across my chest and shoulders where the straps sit. So I took that one back and said enough of this.

It is very difficult to get a bra that fits anymore. I do know what I need (size wise) and you just cannot go out and buy your size it seems. All bras are not made the same as in the past. It seems they are all different (each brand). I found that out by measuring the bottom of them and knowing what I need around that area. I know what I need as far as cup size but I also have to be certain how the middle fits. Same size but some are like 2" smaller than others around the bottom. Unreal. As I said, at least I now know what I need and measure the bottom before I ever buy it and try it. And I hate snug fitting ones.
