Help New symptom??

I've always had migraines since I was 14 years old. However lately since the onset of the majority of my symptoms I have had less and less headaches. Well the last 4 days I had a horrible prolonged migraine. Now it's been about a month since I've had a "PAIN FREE" day, without twitching & soreness & spasms & weakness in my legs. Well for about 3 hours my left eye would not stop twitching! It started to make my eye hurt. I tried everything to relieve the twitching but nothing seemed to help. Into about the 2nd hr of the twitching I started getting a headache and about 12 hours after the onset of my headache when it progressed into a migraine not just an annoying headache (those who suffer from migraines know exactly what I'm talking about) my symptoms & the majority of my body pain & weakness disappeared! It was gone for 3 days! I woke up every morning and noticed EVERY MORNING that I had NO pain other than some minor stiffness or soreness in my back and neck. The only pain in my entire body was in my head and my left eye felt as if I had cried for days. The pain in my head was usual not like ANY other migraines I can recall, however my memory is HORRIBLE so that's not saying much. The pain in my head started in the center at the very base of my head where the back of the neck & the head meet All the way up through the center of my head and over the top down to the center of my forehead. I told my husband it felt as if someone had taken a HUGE butcher knife and attempted to slice my head completely open in the center of my head. There was minimal pain tot he right or left side except some nauseating temporal pain with bright lights and loud noise. After 3 1/2 days, I finally gave in and took a Toradol for my migraine and within 2-3 hours it was easing up, leaving only a slight residual headache. approx 2 hours after the most severe pain went away my numbness, tingling, muscle stiffness, joint pain, leg & arm twitches returned as well as the spasms & the (oh what is it called u know the nerve twitching.... anyways I can't remember) but anyways all my symptoms returned in full force as well as somehow or another hurting my right knee know and I can't put ANY pressure on it.

OK So Long story Longer.... My question is has anyone else ever experienced anything like this? It was so noticeable even my husband noticed in bed that my legs weren't twitching. OH TREMORS THAT'S THE WORD FOR THAT TREMBLING FEELING! He said I have VERY minimal twitching in my legs one night which made me feel relieved for a few moments anyways. I told my husband I wonder if the pain or the area of the pain in my head could have been somehow blocking the nerve sensory that tells my body to respond with pain and twitching in those areas of my body. OK I'm sure I sounds certifiably insane at the moment but No one other than my husband who visibly saw it, believes me! Is this something I should mention to my doctor? SOMEBODY PLEASE LET ME KNOW THAT THIS ISN'T just a coincidence or offer some kind of explanation!

Hi HarveysAngel.. I can't answer your question, because I don't get migraines. I rarely get a headache and then it's usually sinuses.

So sorry for your pain.

Feel better soon.

Not absolutely positive, but this sounds like what happened to me. My headaches started at 11. Never had a diagnosis & never really wanted one. They happened periodically throughout my childhood & adulthood. I was given a few medicines over the years but nothing really worked & I'm not big on meds, so usually, I would take them once or twice & then just forget about them.

My eye pain started in my left eye. It kept on happening for about two-three months. Then, it felt like someone stabbing my left eye with a needle. Mostly now it just feels like massive pressure. It was the TWITCHING that drove me mad!! So I can totally relate.

It's been a year now...on hindsight, I can tell you that it is lucky that that's all it was. The progression that has happened since is the real hell. But that's the nightmare that is finding out what it is. My PC says MS...the Neuro stills says, "We are still defining what exactly this is," so I will see him again in September.

I have a lot of symptoms & some aren't so very nice right now. Does heat make your symptoms worse? Do you get fatigue...do you just HAVE to take a nap? Have you lost upper or lower body stregnth? These are definite signs to make a doctors appt. Also, I would recommend staying on this site & talking to these folks. They are very, very helpful, friendly & a font of information.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend!! All you wonderful peeps out there too!!

To answer your questions. I'm sorry some of you didn't read my other posts about my symptoms ect... So I forgot that you don't know my given history... But yes heat makes my symptoms worse & completely exhausts me or makes me feel weak, Usually subsides once my core temp has gone back to a normal level. Even taking a shower wears me out. I now am using a shower chair just to be able to shower because my legs just feel like they want to give out from under me in the shower and I often have to lean against the wall to keep balance because my legs give out.
Yes I'm always exhausted in the mid afternoon time is when I wear down really quickly as well as riding in a car makes me just absolutely miserable and nauseous.
My upper & lower body stretch has diminished immensely, So bad that It takes all I have just to pick up my 2 toddlers who only weigh 26 & 27lbs. After holding them for just a few minutes I feel like my arms are going to give out. I toted my 8 year old around until she was 4 1/2 with no problems.
I also have vision problems. My vision randomly goes blurry without cause or reason (even tho I wear contacts to correct my already bad vision) I also have double vision from time to time that comes on suddenly out of no where and leaves just as randomly as well as feeling of vertigo. As if I were drunk.
My list of symptoms go far beyond what I have time to sit and type tonight being as I have 2 hours to finish school work thats due at midnight lol and I have 4 assignments to finish up but to sum up my symptoms I exhibit EVERY classic symptom except erectile dysfunction and several not so common symptoms as well, like the MS Hug (pain in the ribcage area that wraps around)
Thanks for messaging me. I just didn't know if I'm alone in this. Also my dr hasn't diagnosed me. Infact he has diagnosed me with everything else (Neuropathy, fibro, Ra, lupus, Low B12 levels, Low Vit D levels, raynauds ect) then when labs don't come back to support those he just looks at me like I'm crazy! The labs did confirm the Vit D & B12 are low but other things are going on. Actually it has gotten to the point where last time I seen him 2 weeks ago and requested an MRI to check for MS. His actual words to me was, "I am at a loss, I don't know what you have because all of your labs have come back not supporting what I thought it was" I said you mean to tell me your the dr and you don't know what is wrong with me his answer was "I can't seem to find anything, but I can tell you that I'm almost certain it's not MS!" I almost got up and walked out. How can a dr sit there and say I can't "FIND" anything wrong with you however the only test he has done is lab work & then turn around and say I can tell you that it's NOT MS?!!! Anyways sorry venting again! Thanks.

Totally sympathize & am sorry that your doctor hasn't a clue. If you live in a rural area; it is definitely time to take that long drive to the big city to get more definitive help. If you live close to a medical center...please, please, please see another doctor! Get a disk from your MRI & get copies of all your tests & results. It would totally be in your best interests to do this.

How would I go about getting a disk of the MRI? I will also get a copy of the MRI report because I don't trust drs. I totally agree he's a quack! lol

I believe you just ask for it. That's what we have done.

It has happened again! Another migraine with the disappearing of symptoms. So far I still have the migraine & I have very minimal numbness. Very minimal residual back pain & a slight tingling in my feet thats it! I'm definitely going to journal this and see what the dr says!
