Default When should oral steroids start working?

Started a taper of steroids yesterday, just wondering if anyone knows when they start working or when I should notice any potential improvement?

The taper starts out at 40 mg for two days, Then 30 mg for two days and so on. I'm wondering if he should've prescribed a larger dose.

I'm just freaked out because my hands and arms really hurt today. I'm just really desperate for it to stop hurting.

I hope the orals work for you. They never worked for me. My neuro told me that orals usually dont work for flare's as they are not the strength that solumedrol is. Idk, but I wont be taking any steroids anymore, they make me violent

I think the steroids are at least working on the pain in my back. At least that's one good thing

Before I was diagnosed, before I ever saw a neurologist or heard the words multiple sclerosis, my GP prescribed an oral steroid taper because I was numb from the waist down. Think it was after the 1st 2 pills that the numbness began receding.

Erin, I hope they work quickly on your pain! Sounds like they are already beginning to have some affect.

At least my boyfriend called me last night. I really needed that. He's having a bad week to, Except for his bad week is Annoying rude roommate issues.

I'm about to go to the doctor at least when I get home I'll have a brand-new medicine cabinet in my bathroom, And Our spare bedroom in the basement will finally be painted. yay

and the wall in my bedroom is fixed. yay again
