Default Dr. Terry Walhs - Mitochondria - Curious on reviews or thought?

Hi guys - I watched some videos and read some articles about Dr. Terry Wahls who got herself out of a wheel chair and overcame her MS by eating correctly. I went and bought the book today just to have a reference and just wanted to know what some of you all think of her story? Or, have any of you read her book? Followed the diet?

Ended Steroid infusions yesterday, still wired... body is pretty jittery! Hope everyone is having a good weekend

Good to hear from you. I hope you are feeling some better.

I've read every lecture and article by Dr. Terry Wahls that I can find. I am very impressed by her research and her results (on herself)! I don't see me doing all the things she has done but OTOH I am not in the situation she was in. I have added some of the things she recommends into my diet. Fortunately, I love kale.

Im an odd one with steroids. They make me violent and very sleepy. Never got that wired feeling. Glad your doing better.
As for this Dr Terry Wahls, never heard of her. By overcome her MS, what did she mean?

Occasionally I attend a support group meeting. I suggested to the group leader to have Dr Wahls speak for us, as she lives in this area. I was told she spoke once, before my time, and the group didn't think much of her and didn't want to invite her back. I believe she does not speak for free.

Every diet, every treatment on this planet works for someone. Some people are more able than others to promote their design and/or ideas.

Will her diet work for you if applied exactly as directed? Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe some of the things she suggests will help you.

Try everything! Something might work for you.

I never heard of her diet. I am curious about why "mitochondria" is in the title of this thread. Later--I've read the thread posted earlier by Dejibo. I was on that thread saying I can't eat green leafies because I have Porphyria (too much sulfur in them). But I do take D and B vitamins and a small amount of CoQ10 is in my sublingual B. I have never tried Krill oil because I have never tolerated any fish oil. I cannot digest it. I do eat walnuts for unsaturated fat, which is the best I can do.
