History
I was admitted to hospital last week due to mild bilateral optic swelling. The doctor recommend me to do a MRI scan and lumbar puncture. MRI scan results were normal. It was unsuccessful in the first attempt of lumbar puncture. The doctor tried again the next day under fluoroscope. It was successful. The opening pressure was 24mmHg. My diagonals was Idiopathic intracranial hypertension. A week has passed since the first attempt of lumbar puncture. I am still feeling the numbness and having discomfort in my stomach area. Does lumbar puncture affect the stomach ? WHy am I still feeling the numbness ? |

Dear DB, I think you should ask your Doc to investigate that question. I, of course, don't know.

Any questions or symptoms like this should include a call to the doc, IMO.
Let us know what you find out
