Default Butrans Patch?

My doctor put me on the Butrans patch today. I've never heard of it before. I've had it on for about 4 hours now and it has not done a thing! I think I read that the third day after putting it on is when it takes full effect, but I only have a few of my pain killers left to hold me over until then. Anyways, has anyone ever been on this before? Did it work well for you for taking your pain away? What other info can you share? Please share!! ) Thank you!!
