I can drive fine and wandered into a nice Motorcycle deal. This guy has a sweet 250 Rebel Motorcycle for sale that is a 2005 for 1,500 dollars with just over 4,000 miles. I rode one before and loved it. I have been thinking of the gas I could save plus the fun in riding.. Been thinking of doing it, but.... do you think it's advisable? Am I going to spazz out or draw a blank then crash due to MS BS?
Right now I believe my condition is pretty much on the low side of severity and I feel ok. I feel no symps as of now and actually pulled off another 10 mile bike ride in 63 degree weather....not bad. So any of you riding motorcycles? I'm thinking I should start just in case I get worse later on. |

If you think you're healthy enough for a motorcycle, I don't see why you couldn't get it. If you didn't, you might regret it later. There's things I can't do now that I wish I'd done earlier. There's also things that I did that I'm glad I did it while I still could.
If you're that worried about it, you can always ask your doctor what they think.

Eric!!!!!!!
Go for it. I was 46 when DXed with MS. As a Newbie I read too much and was always expecting bad things, most that never heppened. At 54 went into a chair but oh, the adventures ve had in my life. Some one said "Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all."

I'm going to do it.
I feel ok now, so WTH.. .it's only a 250, but I'm not interested in going 180 MPH....75MPH is just fine ![]() I believe not only will I save gas and have fun, but just the sheer relaxing of it I blieve will be an added health benefit....taking stress off and I read stress can make symps rear up.. so....yes....I be ridin soon ![]() Last edited by EricP; 04-08-2013 at 12:38 PM. My balance is excelent compared to just over a year ago when I was bad enough to fall to the floor having dizzy spells. I did a sprint on foot a week ago and noticed getting a little bit balled up and feeling like falling, but didn't...I can jog fine and walking looks normal aside from some small stumble episodes, but I think that is more of my shoes being untied most of the time though
![]() ![]() Well here is the motorcycle I'm talking about... I told the guy I want it... I drove it around the yard just fine and it's not huge and heavy either....It praticaly balances itself, no effort to balance once yo uget going. Very easy bike to ride. ![]() |
