Talking I need to make this Post a Good One, because...this is my...

666th Posting on NeuroTalk, and being the Catholic that I am, thought I'd have a little fun with it, tehehheheh

Since I've been MIA, thought I would catch up with everyone; not that I haven't been slowly reintegrating myself onto this forum, but hey, what's a girl to do?

When I pretty much, shut myself down from every place, I was on-line socially; I ended up reading more and finding myself that over-extended sports mom.

Last Spring/Summer was chaotic, as was this past winter. My oldest, last spring was in Little League, and my youngest two, we playing T-ball. I was a baseball mom, 5-6 days a week. Then this past winter, I was a wrestling mom, 5-6 days a week. There is no baseball, in my life, this spring, my oldest chose wrestling over baseball, and after I don't know how to describe t-ball, but after t-ball, wow, love my kids, but that whole glove/bat/ball thing, just doesn't quite seem their forte. HAHA.
Wrestling is a different matter. Especially, for my oldest. The kids don't really start tournament events, until 4th grade, so it's a wait and see approach with my younger two, but earning and winning medals, seems oh, so enticing for them..

I started to join a women's recently formed, softball league, but, um, they benched me...yeah, their star batter, got benched, go figure. Not that I truly have time to play, on Saturdays, when that's not a visitation day for their father, and paying sitters, gets a little pricey. I'll live...

Healthwise, all seems fine. Minus some dizzy/wanting to pass out spells that I've been having, just had my blood drawn and testing and am awaiting results via mail, anyday now. Of course, my GP says it could be MS related. And I haven't seen my neuro, in well over a year. Yeah...long story, short, about the time I got tested for the PML indicator, and the mention of Tysabri, I decided, I am not certain that is what I want right now in my life, just to be preventive medicine, when overall, my health, MS aside, isn't too harsh. Scared of the 'rebound' effect. I haven't even hit 40. Three kids, and after having an optic neuritis flare up, just a couple months into Avonex, and realizing that my body rejects interfurons, I'm going to play roulette for a while, and try some healthy living, first and foremost.
I came off the Copaxone, those injection site reactions were just a bit, too much to tolerate after a few years on it. I got a bit passive and just stopped taking the stuff. Don't know how else to describe, the whole, I feel fine, went 7 years without meds going into my official diagnosis, so, yeah...med free for me. I know it's not unusual to know of those MSers that survived the days prior to CRAB treatments.

Now, if I do need to see a neurologist, I am considering another neuro, not that he isn't good in his field, and all, but yeah....just because...

Well, there it is...

#666 posting from a Catholic. Cannot believe my number is this today.

BTW, I have an interview, tomorrow, at my work. I am up for a promotion. Been working part-time, in the cafeteria, at the local HS. I've been there, 3.5 years. This one, could relocate me to one of the elementary school, as a receiving supervisor, with two employees to my charge. So, yeah, I am a bit excited.
Last year, at the beginning of the school year, I had a small temp promotion as assistant baker, but they decided, after the second baker took over, that they couldn't justify financially having an assistant, which I got, because it went from prep work, to dishes mainly, and why pay for a dishwasher, when the rest of the staff can do that. The hours were conflicting, with my being able to assist the baker, as I took that one in addition to my regular lunch lady duties.
It's been interesting working with teenagers. And the staff, well, is filled with some strong and interesting personalities. Am glad I took on this job, because after the divorce, I needed to return to work, can't survive on a stay at home mom's salary and miss my mom, but this is the type of job she would have tried her hardest to dissuade me from taking, when in fact I find my enjoyment from my job, even when they assign me the impossible projects. Which I enjoy a challenge and rise to the occasion. And I've been looking at promotion potential there, with a business degree, and the fact there is a town pension involved. BUt I still need to work on finishing my SSA credits for social security retirement, on top of it all. I used to be a state employee for a while, and government work, just doesn't pay into the system.
I'd really like to take on a part time tax preparation job, come next tax season, that, also, is right up my alley.

Yeah, so that's some of what I've been up to, during the past couple of years

Welcome back. You sound really busy, I love it! Good luck with the job interview.

I used to a license plate with a few letters and then 666. So many people asked why I didn't return it...didn't bother me and my neighbor actually started playing those numbers in the lottery after seeing my plate and won $30,000.

Thanks, the interview went reasonably well. Where I work, much relies on seniority, and based upon who the other two candidates are, I seem to be the senior member, applying

I don't shy away from this number, either. Don't know if you are familiar with the saying, 'be the woman, that when your feet hit the floor in the morning, the devil says, "Oh No, She's up" Yeah, that's me!! hahaha

It comes up from time to time, for instance, it was the balance on a students account, today, when I went to ring up his purchase! Seen it before, at a coffee shop, as in $.6.66..little fun stuff like that. I have God moments, and devilish moments, or maybe it's a God moment, reminding me that the Devil is running scared? haha, who knows.

Love, your license, plate!! Good for your friend!
