Only tip I have is to call MSActivesource, Biogen's patient support people. Doubt they can simply hand you a price over the phone but can tell you where to start their financial support process. 1-800-456-2255

The process is time-consuming. It seems things sit and wait until someone (you, me) calls and prompts action. I called them yesterday to see where my application stood. Seems it was waiting for "prior authorization". They have the prescription - why the "prior authorization" is needed separately I'll never know. But apparently it was waiting for me to call and prompt...something...to move.

Good luck! I've been at this since April 4th.

Tec might be helping me. Sudden leg jolts have reduced slightly.
Eyesight yesterday seemed slightly sharper.

Affording it, I have no advice atm. Wish I did.

Finally! Today the script got to my pharmacy. Took from April 26 to June 4 to get things going!
Now lets see who else throws their hat in the ring to screw things up!

Not sure there is any such thing as a magic bullet, but I'm hoping this drug does its thing without making me feel sick! Its the shots I really want to be done with.

Its still very scary for me to switch. I was doing okay on the betaseron. But my skin was begging me to stop!

lib825 has a tecfidera blog that I'm going to follow. We who take the tecfidera should stick together and let everyone know how this new drug is doing.

Well, my white cells actually went up a point & red's down a tad. Didn't eat lunch before blood draw as I usually do so?

Tec seems to be holding me at week 3 feeling when I was on Ty, maybe going downhill a bit each week. I take it soon as I get up with a handful of other meds & 16oz of 1% milk which has been my quick breakfast for yrs. I take the other dose after dinner. Biogen said schedule sounds perfect. I no longer get any side effect as I did 1st month which was pretty much just the slight red face as others said, slightly sweaty, no headaches really.

I'll stick with Tec for 2 more months, check blood counts & if no improvements in blood or MS, i'll go back to Ty. Staying hopefull though!

Just took dose number 13, and have had the facial flushing twice. Tomorrow starts the full 240mg doseage. *fingers crossed*

One troubling thing...my neuro does not feel the need to monitor my bloodwork. Thought that was part of the protocol? I should call his nurse.

I don't agree with your Neuro, Sparky. I would ask that you have a blood draw every other month for awhile. After all, a lowered white blood cell count is an open invitation to PML. Cautious monitoring for a while would enable to catch anything going awry. I would just ask for it. He can give the lab a standing order so you can just walk in.
