Because of the above danger of too much copper, I don't think I will take any copper supplements. I'd rather eat chocolate and cashews.

Oop, sorry folks. well the sum up is, Don't take too much of a
Copper supplement, it could be fatal and Peanuts (cashews),
dark chocolate (unsweetened)and herbs (basil) , among other
things, are high in Copper.

Copper's main ingredient in algae control liquid for my pool & antifouling bottom paint for boats. I'd go slow (but take it if you need it of course) with this one. Me, pool water likely has more then enough.
Interesting though. I'll get my level checked soon & after this winters break right before next swim season.

Sally, I wish I liked dark chocolate (but only light chocolate). But I could get into eating a lot of cashews! I think what is most striking about this copper deficiency situation is that the damage is irreversible once it has happened. Perhaps all neuros should now be checking copper deficiency along with Vitamin D deficiency.
