This is not a "MS symptom" but a normal reaction for many people. The symptoms experienced during your "Adrenalin rushes" are normal.

This would not be related to MS.

If you deal with anxiety/panic attacks/stress this can mess with your bowels (constipation and/or diarrhea).

You may want to consult with a Psychiatrist to evaluate your "adrenaline Rushes" and see if medication might be an option. If so, your symptoms might improve. You could also try Mindful Meditation and see if you can get some control over your flight/fight/freeze reactions.

Best wishes and I hope you get answers to health concerns soon.

Hi guys,

Yes, originally they thought Panic Attack. But then I as told by several doctors that they weren't because they lasted longer than 30 minites. Thats when they they thought i had some kind of tumor creating too much stress hormone as my blood was flooded with catecholamines. they would sometimes last hours and hours and would not stop unless I lied down. It felt like my body was under attack. Like their was a constant flood of chemicals flooding my blood stream. It was horrendous.

Later I found out that I was a critically low vitamin D (which is a hormone). Months before I started Vit D I had been I had been improving. Since on Vit D. I have never had those symptoms again.

But when I told the current neurologist about this, she was concerned. She wrote much down and was thinking perhaps about Lyme disease, coupled other symptoms I have of brain fog, and previously word finding problems.

To complicate matters further, I have all the markers for Lyme disease but am not CDC positive. I have so many IgM bands but no I gG.

Giant sigh haha

Although panic attacks can last 30 minutes or less that is not necessarily the case.

Panic attacks are a worsening of anxiety. Anxiety and stress, depending on the person can last a short time, days, weeks, months and yes, even years. Especially if left untreated.

Have you had MRIs to prove/disprove this?

No. I've never had an MRI. In my neuro's office they did give me that test ( drawing a blank on the name) where they hook electrodes up to your head to read your brain waves to look for unusual brainwave patterns. That came back normal and she said normally if there are tumors you may see changes in brain activity.

But id like an MRI eventually. Just to know.

What I did have was a 24 hour urine collection at the time from an endocrinologist when I was having that fight or flight response. that is when they said that nothing showed up in the urine to indicate a tumor. But thinking back I think it was more a pituitary tumor they were looking for and not brain.

I guess I can also add :

Very occasional numbess when peeing- like csnt feel myself pee. Fatigue that comes and goes for more than ten years ( was diagnosed with chronic fatigue ten years ago). And for one year a few times remember holding an object and then just letting go of it randomly. Like my brain forgot I was holding it.

And brain fog. Lasted ten years now.

I am just curious if anyone has ever had these symptoms. What does it sound like this is?

1. Adrenalin rushes that last for hours and sometimes days (had this for two years but no longer). If I was even a tiny bit stressed it felt like a bomb went off next to me like. I would shake, my chest would get tight, my head would feel like it went white and I wouldn't be able to think clearly. It would only stop if i lied down. they tested me for a brain tumor but I had none. Then the symptoms started to ease up and I never went in for more testing.

2. After applying tanner one night I was blow drying my body (haha I know it was my first time! ) I noticed I wasn't able to feel my lower legs as much as normal. I could FEEL the heat and air on my legs but something about it felt muted....like something was sitting on top of my legs.

Flash forward. I've had generic vibration touch tests done by my GP-normal. And I expected that. I CAN feel touch vibration etc. but there is something missing ONLY when hot air hits them. No other time usually.

Then last week for a day my right leg was NORMAL again. This is when I knew with certainty the muted sensation I was feeling was not all in my head ( as the doctor made me feel). My right leg could feel everything fine. My left leg muted and partially numb to the air/heat combo.

But since then both have returned to being partially numb with the blow dryer again.

3. My nails have gone white. All labs normal. It took three doctors before someone defined them-Terry's nails. Still no one knows why my nails on my feet and hands have turned white.

4. I get extremely fatigued if I get 6 hours. I used to have fatigue for ten years. Then it let up. But now if I get a few nights of six hours I feel weak. Like speaking, breathing, are tiring. Is this normal??

5. TMI. I have GI problems. My left side of my large intestine NEVER fully evacuates. Not even when they brought me in for a sigmoidoscopy and gave me a hospital grade enema. The doctor said the muscle in the bowel looked fine but could something neurological cause this part to never empty completely? ?? This has been plaguing me for five years.

I am only in my early 30s.

I'd love to hear from anyone with very similar experiences. I'm lost here.

I forgot to include that I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue eight years ago. Have had chronic fatigue for ten years AND brain fog along with it.
