Default Hi Everyone

I know I haven't been back since my surgery. Other problems showed up and I have just been walking around in circles.

MS also acted up bad. I have a new neuro now and he wants me to start Tecfidera Pill, is anyone taking this?
I was reading side effects and it seems it might be rough with the stomach. That is one of my biggest problems also. I am now on 3 different pills a day for my stomach because the acid is effecting my throat. He said it will be all right to take the Tecfidera. But, after reading the papers and checking the internet, I just don't know what to do.

My vision is really giving me trouble. He wants me to start some PT also.
With all my other problems that have nothing to do with MS my body is falling apart. Getting older doesn't help, LOL!!

Thanks for listening to my ranting.

Jappy

Hi Joyce.. . Nice to hear from you.

I've sworn off all of the DMDs and other so called MS Meds, Except LDN and Prozac..
In many cases, they're all hurt you more than they help you. So no thank you.
A cure would be nice about now, but "they" don't seem to be hell bent on that
right now.

Hope you can find some relief from your aches and pains, ASAP.

Miss you..

If your Doc thinks it's worth it, then try it, to see if it helps.
You can always stop, if the sides are too much. Let us know.

What does your Neuro think of Lemtrada? That seem to be
the popular one to try now?

Hugs.

He never mentioned Lemtrada. I have decided to try the new med. I am happy that it is a pill. I will keep up with NT on my progress. My eyes are what are giving me the worst problem and working on the PC is a little difficult right now. I hope this med helps improve them.

Getting older is not for sissies, that's for sure!

I have not tried Tecfidera but I know others on here have, some with great success. Hopefully, they'll come along and chime in. Maybe have one of the moderators move this over to the MS portion of the forum instead of the Stumble Inn.

As for the stomach, have you tried warm lemon juice and water to help? I drink it every morning almost faithfully! I was able to get off all stomach meds, with an occasional Prilosec every now and then, once I started doing this. It works great. Just thought I'd share that. It may not work well for you but I know I suggested it to my SIL and she has been able to get off her stomach meds also since she started doing this.

Thank Trish. I've never heard of that. Hmmm, I learn something new
every day here.

So far now for a few years DGL is saving my stomach. I take otc pain meds and many yrs ago I ended up in the ER with stomach ulcer from pharma anti inflammatory, so concern is high and I find DGL helps me protect my stomach. I make sure I take super digestive enzymes and probiotics daily. So far so good.
