Default Starting on new pain med today

So I saw my Neuro today, brought up that I've been having ridiculous pain in my legs and jaw, constant headaches. Had another script from my GP for a NSAID as I couldn't take Tylenol because of my liver enzymes. It was horrible and stopped after the first few times.

Find out today it was just a supercharged version of Advil. Also found out that Advil elevates the liver enzymes also after being told it doesn't. Go Figure... So after finding out my enzymes are more then double the norm, my new Neuro put a stop to Advil all the time except on shot day.

They prescribed me Nortriptyline for the pain, headaches and mood swings (all that fun MS stuff). Question is has anyone ever taken this? Just curious because I really hope it works!

I've never taken it but I did find this article on it:

I take amitriptyline which is very similar (nortriptyline is a more 'active' version of it in fact). I find it very effective in managing my neuropathic shoulder and back pain, as well as my depression/mood problems.
