thanks everyone. I'm quite knocked out tonight, but just wanted to say thank you for all the comments. I'm so grateful I can do things like that while others with MS cannot. I admit I am worse shape than last year, but still keeping my confidence high thanks to you kind folks and all the people that see I am needing a little help more these days. It is real nice to have such people around me as I settle into my new reality and accept that things are pretty much inevitable and progressing. I'm going to raft, bike do a normal life for as long as possible...

I'm a very athletic person and to feel this disease take away for so much that I worked for(nice feet!) it is very depressing for me. I recently decided(evidenced by my rafting) that I am not going to keep myself enclosed in a box or embarrassed to be who I am. I now realize I need assistance more and more each day and I am working on being not shy about asking for it even though it is extremely awkward sometimes.

Just thanks and I feel so bad for those who are experiencing the worst of what MS does. I feel grateful to be still comfortable while some are in pain.

Sometimes letting another person help you helps them as well. Giving someone the chance to do something nice for someone else has benefits for you and them. You get the help you need and they feel good about doing something nice for someone else. It's a win-win situation.
