Default Having to go to the bathroom more often

I don't sleep well at night. I may be asleep but my mind won't shut off. So I don't know if I don't go into a deep enough sleep that my bladder is also asleep or not. But sleeping light, my bladder is more aware that urine is accumulating. I am on Ditropan twice a day, have been for years. If I didn't know better I would think I have prostate problems!!!!!

I would think the med would "help" make that an issue. Are you cutting down on liquids during the evening?

I have the same problem and since I started taking Melatonin at night I do think I am sleeping a bit sounder. I still get up often to pee but I do feel better rested in the morning.

I can't cut out drinking at night. I have to have my glass of Wawa
by my bed. Sooooo, up at 3, 7, and 10, every morning.

I'm like Sally - I have to have my water next to my bed. It's very rare that I have to get up in the middle of the night. I drink water all the way up until I turn out the lights. If I wake up during the night for some reason, usually spasms, I'll get up and go to the bathroom.

BTW - I do go quite a bit during the day. Some days more than others. I also can go and think I'm done only to feel like I need to go again once I leave the bathroom. I'm such a retainer.

I don't have any leaks, It's not that kind of bladder problem. It's the kin that you never know when the urge will hit but when it does every body better get out of your way!

I'm on a med for urgency, but I still get it, especially when I have a UTI lurking.
And Trish, I applaud you for drinking a high amount of liquids...wow!

sometimes after yrs of taking a med it doesn't work so well anymore.
might run this past your dr.

i start cutting back my fluids by 7 or 8 pm and only sip. it helps a lot. otherwise up by 0300.
