I'm trying so hard to get back to working out and eating right.
On Wednesday I lifted weights with a friend. Nothing over ten pounds and not really difficult either. I was supposed to push on each one until I couldn't anymore, but I didn't even push close to that far. I woke up Thursday and my left arm was swollen and very painful. It's not swollen all over just in one spot, but that area of my arm is an inch bigger than the day I lifted the weights. Now my other arm was sore, like normal workout sore, but it is almost all better. My left arm though, I can't straighten. If I try it hurts like something is stabbing me, and I get a horrible tingling in my hand. But the pain is not where the swelling is. The swelling is in my bicep and the pain is in my forearm. My husband is thinking this is an MS thing. I think it's some kind of injury. Has anyone had something like this happen? |

Hi nemsmom,
You should probably make an appointment with your PCP to rule in/out any injury. I weight train and have not had the problem you are experiencing. Take care...

Yes, get thee to thy Doc to check it out. Not all is MS.

My thoughts too, just frustrated I guess. Can't seem to stay away from the doctors.
![]() The pain is not excruciating by any means when it's bent, but it's too much to handle when I try to straighten it. Like a goober I keep trying to catch things when they fall, which includes straightening it, that HURTS. ![]() My daughter is making things with beads and reorganizing her bead containers today. I was helping her, but there were a lot of beads falling on the floor that I kept trying to catch. I decided I should stop. lol |

Where exactly is the swelling? It could possibly be a muscle tendon rupture. When that happens, the muscle will "slip down" and create a lump as it is no longer attached on both ends. Perhaps you can do a search and see if that sounds like a possibility.
Hope you feel better soon. |
