Default stinging/tingling in ear

Last night I had a sudden horrible stinging sensation in my left ear. If you have ever had multiple bee stings at once, it feels like about the 50th sting.

There is a constant stinging/tingling feeling that isn't too horrible. About a 3 on the pain scale. But I get waves of it that are at least a seven. It makes me forget how to breath right. Thankfully that doesn't last too long at a time.

I don't think it's an ear infection. Trying to wait a couple of days to see. It seems to be worse at night, like all of my MS symptoms.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this.

Yes, Ive had this. Neuro told me its Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN). That was me tho. Have you talked to your neuro about this yet? I understand the pain. Nerve pain is the worst than the muscle spasms at times. I hope the pain goes away soon for you.

Well that would figure! I have pain in my face from TN. It only makes sense for it to travel to my ear!

I have not talked to my neuro, but if this is still going on by Tuesday I will call.

I have had the "ice pick" in the ear feeling along with an incredible "itch" feeling deep in the ear. It drives me nuts. Fortunately, the "ice pick" feeling is a ZAP ZAP then it is over. It can really get your attention!
