Default Update on Tests

Well I had my MRIs and Spinal tap yesterday. I'm suppose to get the results Tuesday morning. They went fine, but after they put that contrast dye in for the last 15 minutes, I felt funny. About 20 minutes later, I was hurting a lot - my body was like vibrating every other step it seemed. I do have to say though when I had the spinal tap done, that needle in my back took away the previous pain lol - it took them 4-5 times to get the fluid. I've had a lot of shots but, the spinal tap hurt the absolute worst. I do not want to go through that again, thats for sure.

I'll let you know the results when I get them.

The contrast always seems to give me just a slight burning sensation all over for a few minutes after it goes in, but seems to go away quickly. I can sympathize on the spinal tap. Mine took multiple attempts by two different docs over the course of two days. The first doc couldn't get the needle in because my back muscles kept spasming and locking up the needle. I think I about broke my wife's fingers squeezing her hand a few times. She finally gave up and we had to leave and come back the next day to try again. That doc got it in on the first attempt and it was relatively painless.

Good luck with your results and congrats on surviving the tests!

Sorry to hear the spinal was difficult. Hope you're doing okay now. Any more updates?

Haven't received any updates yet. I couldn't hardly sleep Tuesday night, but last night around 130am, I could not stay up to save my life lol. I didn't get up once during the night, and woke up around 1030am. This morning my back hurts the worse since the spinal tap, it is really sore and the place is throbbing where I had the ST done. No headache though, which after the spinal tap was done, I did drink caffeine for the first time in a year, and I've drank Dr Pepper everyday since.
