Default Bummed out

So I go to the doctor on Wednesday. All that was done was a blood test, and put on Nortiptyline HCL aka Pamelor 25mg to help me sleep instead of Estazolam.

I have to send them the MRIs from my last brain scan. I just feel like another 2.5 hr drive each way was wasted. I'm overweight. I'm depressed. I just don't understand why this takes so long. I've been denied medicaid, haven't gotten an answer from disability yet, and I filed back in April.

The new MS doctor said she wanted to make sure it wasn't MS. She actually said from the tests results she had at the moment maybe showed Sarcoidosis. I've read up on it, but I don't think it might be that...

I know it's a long process but MS is a diagnosis of ruling everything else out. some MRI places make DVD disks of the MRIs, if so see if they an mail it to the office. Good luck.

Default Hi from a fellow Georgian :)

Although I know very little about MS I do understand your frustration. I have SFN and try to use local dr's vs driving to Emory in Atlanta. After visiting all different kinds of dr's here, I'm not so sure I'd get anything different from the dr's at Emory.

I think u may be the first person I've read that has filed for disability in GA. I initially filed in May this year......denied in July and put in my reconsideration at the end of Sept........then the gov't shutdown hit and everyone is behind. I have called the disability office in Stone Mountain (my initial went to Birmingham, AL) and they did receive my reconsideration and are waiting for all the paperwork to come in. I'm expecting another denial. The advocate I talked to said if reconsideration is denied I may have to wait up to 2 years for a video conf with a judge

Please keep us posted on how your are doing.
