Thank you for this - loved it - and I also read the articles in the other editions that came up and they were great too - especially the one about cognitive issues.

Excellent

Hi muddy,

Sorry that this is happening to you.

Sometimes it is embarrassing, but at times like those, if the situation is appropriate, I find that just muttering "Stupid MS!" is enough to satisfy most onlookers. That relieves the embarrassment and usually cultivates some level of understanding from others.

It lets them know that the problem is not from alcohol consumption, which seems to be a common conclusion that some people jump to.

With love, Erika

Hi Nancy,

My PC does that every time I start up when the computer has been turned off, and with some Web sites.
I've tried to update it, but it is already running the updates, so after much waiting and fooling around I get a pop up that says "can't install updates".

Now whenever that box comes up, I just click on "remind me later" or "X" to close the window and then just carry on with whatever I was going to do.
Most things play just fine after that.

Personally I think that it is a bug in the system that wakes up with some Web sites.

With love, Erika

Really liked the part in the Summer Edition where they are talking about the different types of memory - it put things into a lot more perspective as to why I feel like I have large 'black holes' in my history - my husband will say 'do you remember when we.....' and I will draw a total blank, seemingly because the memories have not been taken in and moved to long term storage.

Also the different functional areas that can be affected with cognitive difficulty - knowing that it can affect visual and spatial perception and make tasks like driving, parking, map reading and judging distance more difficult somehow makes me feel a little less stupid and incompetent as a human being.

Stupid disease!
