Default Copaxone new formula is out and benefits of baby aspirin a day.

Hi everybody,

I had my four month neuro appt today with my doctor. They filled out the form for me to take the new 3 day a week Copaxone.

I started doing double shots three days a week on Monday to get myself into the new schedule. My old neurologist said I could do that about two years ago but I never started until now.

It works fine, I just do two shots in one fatty area about two inches apart. I am so glad this finally got approved. The studies show that it works just as well as the regular formula.

The doctor asked me how old I am and when I told him almost 56, he said he thought I was in my 40s. Either he really thought that or he is a very good liar.

My walking is a bit better again after the last relapse. He said I should take a baby aspirin once a day to prevent heart disease and/or stroke.

The reason is that plaques start building in the arteries when you turn 50 and that later on people have the strokes in their 70s and 80s and then it is too late to do anything to reverse it.

I told him that I bleed more from my shot when I take the aspirin and he said that is not necessarily a bad thing, that the blood is more slippery and not as likely to clog the arteries.

I really like this doctor and I wish I had found him when I was first diagnosed, but I liked the old doctor too though he was two hours away from me.
