It is so hard waiting for results isn't it ? I have small fiber neuropathy and I can remember the agony of waiting for the skin biopsy results.

I have you in my thoughts and prayers. Please let us know the results.

Thanks Debi.

Less than 9 hours now. It is SUCH a long wait.

Hoping that all is well with you, and thank you

Well that goes down as one of the most humiliating days of my life.

The neurologist who was oh so helpful when he saw me a few weeks ago in the midst of my arm muscles operating independently of my direction, and who was oh so sure that the MRI would show something up, today, when it came back clear, essentially told me that there was nothing he could do and he couldn't give me anything or offer any help whatsoever and was I sure it wasn't in my head.

Unbelievable. I am just mortified.

And still stuck here with all manner of crap going on with my body and no reason as to why. And nothing I can take to ease it.

Devastated doesn't even scratch the surface of how I feel after today. And I am still stuck with all the horrid crap and zero idea on what the hell to do now.

i'm so sorry that nothing could be resolved based on the mri.
i would keep in touch with your neuro. you may have to give things more time.
keep track of your sx's in a sx journal with dates and descriptions. it may help your dr over time.

sometimes it can take more time for lesions to show up on an mri.
don't give up hope. MS can be hard to dx and may reveal itself more over time.
please keep us posted on how you are.

Doctors are people who prescribe medicines of which they know little, to cure diseases of which they know less, in human beings of whom they know nothing.

With love, Erika

Thank you both.

I have opted to seek out a second opinion, from an MS specialist (the fellow I saw was a general neuro).

I shall see how that goes.

I really just want to know what I'm dealing with so I can actually deal with it. But I need someone who is willing to actually look further than just some film. There is more to a disease than simple pictures of one aspect of a person's being.
