I go to a lot of trouble to make sure I get my daily nap. I'll persuade appointment schedulers to give me times that will allow me to be home and napping at naptime. I don't tell them I need to take a nap because I don't want to hear about how I could surely rearrange my naptime.
That doesn't work for me. I can't usually shift the nap to morning or even noon because I'm not tired enough. But after lunch, often a late lunch, I'm ready to drop, and I fall asleep very easily. I sleep for anywhere from half an hour to an hour and a half, and still sleep 8 hours at night. When I weighed a lot more, I needed two naps a day but as the weight dropped off, I was able to pare it down to one. This need for naps has been part of my life ever since MS came along.
