Default Some bad news from MRI

Im going to see a new neuro since we moved back to Indiana. He decides to do all the new doc stuff like updated MRI's and EMGs and EEGs and all that junk, well, I got the MRI of my spine back and the radiologist didn't just stop at analyzing my spine, he went and looked at everything.

Never had one do that. Usually they just look at what the neuro wants and that's it. I have found out that I have many cysts on my kidneys that are non cancerous, thank the dear Lord Jesus for that, but it also went on to say that I have multiple lesions on both kidneys as well. I went on line to find out about lesions on the kidneys, and all reports say, including reports from Mayo Clinic say lesions on the kidneys mean cancer.

I can't begin to tell you the terror Im feeling right now. I would bump up my neuro appt but its in 3 days and honestly he probably wouldn't have an opening anyway. Ive been crying for days, my dh walks around like nothings wrong and he doesn't have a care in the world. I asked for prayers from family and friends but didn't say exactly why just that I got some bad news from some test results and not one member of my family has called me to see what's going on.

Im scared

gosh kitty, i would be scared too.
but, take a deep breath and hang in there. take someone with you to the appt for a 2nd set of ears. fear may block some of the info the dr says.

whatever the news don't leave til the dr answers all your Q's (write them down) and gives you a plan of action.

please let us know how you are.

Sorry you're so scared and don't want to give false hope, but according to the urology care foundation not only is kidney cancer fairly easy to treat, but many people do have benign cysts on their kidneys

Rarely do they even need treatment of any sort or cause problems and are often discovered by unrelated tests. So it's great that they don't believe they are cancerous.

Sometimes the net is too good at confirming our worse fears and not real good and easing our minds. Definitely wouldn't pop the cork on the champagne until hearing for the doc, and would kick the butts of family members

I'll definitely pray that the worst medicine you'll have to take is some cranberry juice. Best of luck on your follow up

How nice of your DH to ease your fears.

KittyLady, I'm sorry you read something that has you so scared. Maybe if you keep looking you'll find something that says something better?

Sending good vibes that the lesions are nothing important!

Please try not to worry. Fretting doesn't change anything, and can be harmful to your health!

It really sucks when you feel like you don't have any support! I completely empathize with you there. I hope you get some good news!

Hoping you get some good news! I know it must be scary for you to have read that in your report. Sometimes seeing our reports is not the best thing. Hopefully, your PCP can explain things to you and make recommendations on what you need to do next, if anything at all.

Let us know how things go with your neuro tomorrow.
