Default Visual disturbances

I have been in an attack for weeks now, mostly legs, one arm and one hand.

3 weeks ago, upon awakening, I was unable to read newspaper for an hour--it looked like chicken scratches, and the CNN news crawl was blurry. It was fine after an hour.
The eye doc said my optic nerve looked good, and no sign of INO.No glaucoma. Retina good.

Then:
Last night, letters of words on TV had a ghost image below them. It cleared up in less than half hour.

I haven't ever had eye involvement in MS. -- does this sound like part of MS?

Hard to say, while not as extreme, I do cycle through 3 different eyeglass Rx's ... 4 if you include not needing glasses at all, throughout the week. And other than about 2 years ago, when my optic nerve was inflamed, all other appts have been fine. But I don't know if it's MS or allergies, the eye docs and neuro aren't real sure either, since neither can rule out the other.

it's possible but sometimes all our problems aren't MS related.

i'd get an appt with your opthamologist and get your eyesight checked.

I have double and sometimes triple vision in my right eye only. Some times double vision with both open but it comes and goes. Sometimes I have a hard time reading and if I cover my left eye words some times look like they are written in russian. I can't read at all when that happens. I have had two exams, and neuro opthtamologist exam. My eyes are perfect. Besides my astigmatism and I am near sighted. But with a new prescription I can see besides the doubled vision. So that led to my first MRI, and then we found the lesions etc.... But my nerves are great. No neuritis or anything.

I've had Optic Neuritis attacks twice now. The first time was the worst, the second wasn't as bad.

I went to an opthamologist who examined my eyes. She noted no damage to the optic nerve, however I did indeed have O.N. My neurologist confirmed it as such, and after a course of Solu Medrol and prednisone, it went away finally after about a month.

It was like a huge sun spot in my left eye, vision was reduced by 80%. I had pain when I attempted to look to the left. My eye felt dry/itchy constantly.

The blurry/ghosting thing - this I have regularly. Some days it's better than others. I have also had the hatched/cross hatched vision disturbance. Generally these visual oddities show up when I'm tired, stressed, the weather's gone wonky with pressure changes, etc.

The most baffling to me (other than the rest) is out of my middle left eye vision, I oftentimes see a bright blue dot randomly. I don't go a day now without seeing it. It will just flash for a split second, and vanish. Eye doc and neuro both don't think it's a big deal, neuro figures it's migraine doing it. Who knows!

I saw ophthalmologist the day after the first double vision. She said no optic neuritis no INO. She said I have dry eyes. They dont feel dry but i complied snd Been using Systane for that, but I doubt that's what's going on. Neuro doubts it was dry eyes.

Still waiting fir BCBS to authorize an MRI. Geesh they're slow. Ba$tards.
