Hi Tamiloo

I hope that Cymbalta works for your man. Although Cymbalta comes under the heading of an anti-depressant, it is often used for pain relief purposes. I think it is some thing to do with scrambling the pain gateways to the brain (don't quote me on that).

My Neuro rx'd me Dothep which is a Tricyclic Antidepressant to deal with burning leg sensations. It has definitely helped me.

Fingers crossed it will do wonders for you. I have read some really good reviews about it.

Hi tamiloo,

I used Cymbalta quite a few years ago. I found it completely resolved the bilateral leg pain that I experience. I did stop taking Cymbalta due to Dr. difficulties and when I tried taking about a year later I was unable to tolerate the side effects.

Best wishes to you and Olhipie

Hi Tamiloo,

I had some of the very common side effects such as:
nausea, constipation, stomach pain, headache, drowsiness

I had side effects the first time I took Cymbalta but they were not too bad and did go away. Unfortunately, the second time I tried Cymbalta the side effects were worse and would not decrease or subside.

I was prescribed Cymbalta for my neurological issues but have also since had it upped for its antidepressant use as well. I've been happy with it and am even happier since it went generic!!
