I have been totally bummed out!!!!! Last Monday or Tuesday, can't remember, my computer monitor went out. I have been without a computer since then. I have been in computer withdrawal!!!!!! My son in law is a total computer geek so I called him. He suggested I take my monitor over to my other daughters house and hook it up to her computer to see if it works on hers. Well it did the same thing. I was reluctant to go out and buy a new monitor when it could have been the computer also. We were scheduled to go down to Lexington this Sunday to see the grandkids so I just waited till then so he could check both of them out. So today while we were still there I bought a new monitor. I was sooooo proud of myself. This self proclaimed computer illiterate came home and hooked everything up! To take the computer and monitor down there, I had to unhook the printer, the cable modem, speakers, everything. So I put it all back! I am glad that pretty much everything is color coded. My screen is 17 inches instead of 15 so everything looks much bigger.

I have got to go to the reality show addict thread and see what has been going on over there.

Oh, the kids are wonderful. The baby is about 7 months old now. She is still being breast fed and is a very healthy size. By that I mean she's a little fat. So her Mom was reluctant to start her on solid food. She really didn't need it. She finallly gave in and started her on solids about 2 wweks ago. Elli wants food and wants it NOW! But she is so cute and huggable and loveable and all mine! She is all smiles, laughs, giiggles and cute little sounds all the time.
Her big sister is wonderful to. She will start first grad in the fall and read us one of the Bernstein Bear books. She had read us the B book but this time it was Good night bear. As you can tell, I'm pretty proud of my girls.

My other daughter, well her boa bit her husband cause they were three weeks late in feeding him and he stuck his hand in the cage to get out and show him off. So my grand children are smarter than the animals.

Congratulations Doydie! How's the new monitor look!?!

I have a 17" laptap - it's heavy to lug around but I don't lug it around much anymore but I love the size of the screen! I use it alot in my landscape business so it is very helpful. But it weighs a lot!

I finally bought a wheeled computer bag which helps a lot when I travel and it has a nice extra pouch for putting extra stuff in so it makes a nice carry on bag, so I don't have to lug it around on my shoulder anymore (not that I could lug it very far!).

Glad you had a good time!

;)

I would comment on the use of her laptop but,

(someone's duct taping Taffy's mouth shut)

The mouth or the comment!:D

(we all know that your laptop is glued to your hip. Ready to whip out and use at any moment.)

(Never would let me cause any trouble!)

familiar feeling

:hug:I know your feeling. I veg much of the time trying to sleep. Your little dog is precious and must be nice company. I am so sorry about your brother. Do you have a disabling condition as well. Getting old is not for the weak, I have learned. Wish you the best!

That's just it Billie, I've come to the conclusion that getting old IS for the weak..:D

Wishing you the best, right back.

Sal,
DH (who does not have MS) went to the doctor with a list of his problems and was taken aback when that young scalliewag's (she must be in her mere 40's) conclusion was he's getting old. (I said that, did he listen......)

Yeah... my dh was complaining that I was shrinking his jeans because they were too tight. Not that possibly he was getting to fat for them. He kept trying on new pants at the store, that *surprise, surprise* also were too tight.

Not that he was too fat, but that they make them too small these days, you see.

so I says, "Step on the scale and see for yourself if you gained weight." Finally (two years later) he did. Next thing ya know, my scale went missing.

Sad too, because that ugly old thing was very kind to me. Said I weighed 3 lbs less than the new one says.

:(

Guess we get weak and fat lol.

DH and I "discussed" that his light sneakers and summer clothes do not equal 10 pounds to be subtracted from medical office finding. I'll go to 5 maybe.
