Default I just changed my health insurance.

I like my doctor. I wanted to keep my doctor. Was really peeved to find out that they weren't going to let me keep him.

Evil old insurance company's deductible was something like $8000. New insurance company's deductible is $1400, AND I'm only paying $20 more in premiums, with a $5 copay. AND I get to keep my doctor, and the group of doctors that he's in.

I did lose my new physiatrist, but he's not the doctor I wanted to keep. So, I'm not all broken up about losing him.

Smart thinking, Erin!! You keep your doc and you get some money in your wallet!

Glad you posted--I was wondering how you were doing.

oh, I still feel like crap, and had a bit of an accident the other day. But, once I get my new insurance cards, I think I'm going to go check out my doctor's new office. They moved last week, to a fancy new building. They now have their own pharmacy. A physical therapy department! All sorts of shiny new toys! I can't wait to see it, and can't wait to tell him that I changed my insurance. I'm a little scared that he'll have moved out to somewhere else (because that's how my luck usually works), but I thought about that too. The other doctors in their office have always been nice. (with the exception of one PA that has misdiagnosed me more than once). And they're still close. Knocking on wood that he has no plans to move himself somewhere else.

oh, and to explain the bit of an accident I had. Ever have really really bad fatigue, that's so bad that you fall asleep whenever you sit down?

I was sitting at my computer desk, trying to crochet and read, and I was falling asleep. It was the middle of the afternoon. I was sitting straight up, and falling asleep at the same time. I could feel that I was asleep, but I couldn't wake up enough to lean back in the chair. Kept feeling myself rocking side to side.

At one point, I apparently fell completely asleep, and instead of going to the side like I felt myself wobbling, I ended up falling face forward into my very hard desktop. (desk is built in, with a Corian countertop for the desktop). Got my hand up just in time to slow the fall a little bit, but not enough to avoid whacking my nose pretty hard. Giant bruise on my nose, and I have a bit of a racoon look to my eyes.

I think I need to install 5-point restraint seat-belts to my computer chair. Or get a helmet with a nose guard.

about the insurance? I will as soon as I go see him again. I checked to make sure his office takes my insurance. His office took my old insurance too. So, I wouldn't have lost him if I kept the old insurance. I switched because I wanted to keep my family doctor.
