I see my PCP on Wednesday. I think the swollen foot/edema is from inactivity, 5 years in a chair, left side totally unusable yet can feel a hair on arm. Got compression socks but with one hand can't do (can't even put regular socks on) and DH can't do. Even control top panty-hose was too much. Shirts with long sleeves frustrate him. I would not let him dress my twin babies long ago! I tell him just him putting my shirt makes me feel like a rag doll. He thinks fast is best!!

Judy2's electric compression bootie sounds good!. Thank you Judy!! Will talk to doctor about it.

If you have the closed toe compression socks, this is one way to do it. (some compression socks come as a tube with each end open. Some come as an actual sock.)

linky to a youtube video

The video is actually for some exercise thing for athletes, but it's the same theory that my aunt the nurse practitioner showed my parents once how to put on the closed toe Edemawear. (Edemawear is one of the brands that has either open toe tubes, or the closed toe socks)
