Default Steele cooling vest

I really like my vest but I need more inserts so I can go out all day to a theme park. I looked over on the Steele web site and it gives me all these different pacs I can order. which ones do I want for my vest. How long does it take to get them and should I order two sets? Any ideas besides the obvious of taking a cooler along to keep those frozen so I can refresh my vest throughout the day? Oh, so many questions. It's the heat. My brain is fried in this midwest. if only we would get some rain. If any one knows a rain dance and has the energy to do one, we sure would appreciate it!

It's supposed to rain in Ohio tomorrow. Usually Indiana gets it first. I hope we both get some.....rain, that is.

Thanks guys. It was so humid today that as soon as I went out the door, my nicley fixed hair went totally flat. But what kind of Steele cooling replacement paks do I need?

Hello doydie,
It's terribly hot and humid here as well! This is worse than Florida by far! Have you called the cooling vest company to see which paks they are recommending? Have you also tried calling your local NMSS? They may have some suggestions, and they may even have some pamphlets about the vests available.

I've never used the vests before. When I'm going to be out in the heat for a long stint, I use a cold scarf around my neck that has been packed in ice overnight, and when it needs to be re-cooled, I simply buy some ice, and douse it in the ice for a bit.

Have fun at the theme park, and let's all hope we get some rain. We're having terrible droughts and fires down here.

All the best,
Chris
