My neuro had me on Trileptal but I didn't tolerate it well. I had a lot of trouble waking up in the morning.

There are others who do fine. I just don't happen to be one of them.

I have not taken Trileptal so I can't share much about it. I do hope that if you decide to take it that it works for you and you get some relieve. TN is no fun at all.

I do take gabapentin for nerve pain and have had luck with that. I am fortunate because many don't seem to tolerate it well. I am on a very small dose and it works for me. Increasing the dose causes me problems so we keep it at no more than 900 mg.

Let us know if you decide to try Trileptal and how it works for you. I hope you feel better soon.
