Thanks, Snoopy. So it sounds like you experienced partial loss of sensation that wasn't asesthesia. That's what I'm experiencing, except all over. Gosh, it is very hard, isn't it, to deal with? I feel like I could get a handle on it if only it would stop, but going from having full feeling to whole body loss of sensation in a month just has been really hard, especially because it just keeps getting worse. I also have random parts burning like an invisible sunburn, or itching like there are spiderwebs. All the brave people with MS who find strength to cope with all of this are my heroes.

Remission doesn't exactly mean that your symptoms will go away during a remission. Remission means that you're not experiencing new attacks.

If you have numbness, the nerve that's causing the numbness was probably damaged during a flare. Sometimes that doesn't resolve. (not in my experience anyways)

Sparky, thanks for the reply. Was the lower-body numbness you experienced TOTAL numbness or just a partial loss of sensation?

Thanks!

Been out of town; sorry for taking so long to respond. The numbness was partial, probably just on the surface. I could feel pressure.

Welcome to NT...

Hmm...MS is one of those conditions that is variable...I hope you get some answers soon...it took time for most of us to get answers to the crazy symptoms that afflicted us.

Keep us up to date!

And congrats on expecting a baby!

Default numbness

Has your Neuro ruled out anything related to the spine? Has he checked for lesions?

Your spinal cord might be compressed in the lumbar region or cervical (neck) region. I had been diagnosed with possible MS. Also to find issues with my whole spine. My leg numbness. Spasms and nerve issues were caused by claude equine.
I was losing my ability to go to the bathroom. The nerves come together at the end of the spine thus called equine or horses tail. Mine were being squeezed and the nerves were being cut off.

Had L4-L5 laminectomy with fusion and my symptoms went away. I still have the effects of the optic neuritis. Partial vision loss and color. Migraines and stiffness and spasms still plague me. Right hand drops things. But I can pee now, yeah. They said if I would have waited, I possibly could have been paralyzed.

Hope you find relief but in my opinion. Have them rule other things out.
I still have a possible MS dx, but found my spine needed some work.

God Bless Snoopy.

Thanks Sparky and Debbie. Strhuntrss, I requested a spine MRI, because I've had brain ones in the past, several years back, that have all come out clear, but never a spine one. But she doesn't want to run a spine MRI yet. I'm glad that they found the claude equine in time to treat it and give you at least those lower body functions back! Thanks very much. I'll keep pushing for spinal imaging and more tests.
