OMG, so you are safely back in your rooms?? Unbelievable!
I have no doubts that you were incredible, believable, professional, and all that other good stuff. You did protect the innocent, correct? |
OK, I decided to use this thread to announce my rediculous, almost catastrophic and quite scary scooter accident yesterday.
I was going to the front door to answer it. My yard people were here to cut the grass and stuff, so I opened the door and gave them the okie dokie...Since it hadn't rained much, the grass wasn't long but uneven. I closed the door and then remembered something I had forgotten to tell them, so I opened the door and my scooter was in go forward, so I went through the storm door and stopped right before toppling onto the porch...scooter and all.  I hollered HELP, and the guys came running and pushed me back into the house, keeping me from falling on my face. I was too scared to be imbarrassed, (until later:icon_redface: ) and was shedding tears. They were so nice and trying to comfort me. The one Fellow is coming back today to make my storm door proper again. My scooter and I did a pretty good, tearing it from the hinges, job.:ooo: Well, you know what happens then. You start thinking.."should I still be living alone"? I wish I were rich enough to have a live-in Bodyguard...maybe like Kevin Cosner..:p I do not ever want to go into a resthome...no way, no how. I'm Ok. I didn't hurt myself...other than my pride, but it could have been worse. What if noone had been there? Anyway, I blame my dog for the whole fiasco. He was barking, loudly, the whole time this was happening. He had me so befuddled, I couldn't hear, think, or anything. Damn Dog is his middle name.:D I'm done ranting. Just tell me I'm going to be OK. Thanks. :grouphug: |
Sally
 It IS going to be OK. You are ok, the door will be ok.
It wouldn't have happened if someone wasn't there for you to say something to. I don't know you that well, but I doubt you suddenly get the urge to open your door and say something randomly:D with or without an audience. Take a deep breath or too. You are doing great. Have a calm day. :) |
Damn dog! (Stuffing cotton balls in dog's mouth....)
There...I fixed dawg for you Sally! You will be ok Sal...it was an accident that's all. I am glad you are ok. (muffled sounds from dog) So is dawg! Oh look at you. You are so cute with your little chipmunk cheeks. Come here so Auntie Taffy can pinch em'. Were are you running off to dawg? Come back here. Dawg? Taffy shrugs and goes off to look for her piggy bank. Finds it. Shake. Shake. Does she break it now in case FG needs the dough? |
YIKES Sal!!!! Sorry about your misshap.... But, glad you are OK!
I think it was just that.... an ACCIDENT! Doors can be fixed, pride can be shoved to the wayside, but our Sally is OK and that's the only thing that matters.... I also think you should stay in your home as long as you want to and can .... You'll know when you need help. *googling Keven Costner* :winky: |
wow Sally! wasnt expecting that post. glad your ok though. I know you were looking for some action in your life but we need to find you some different kind of action heh, heh. although the Kevin Costner thing sounds great. and I agree with taffy, dam dog! LOL. take care of yourself.
hugs april. |
Holy moly, Sal! How scary! I've accidentally gotten my throttle stuck in purse straps/sleeves, etc. but usually I just ram something on the same level. That is waaaay scary, but I'll bet you'll never let that happen again!
As the others said, you're okay and yes, you will be fine! Don't give up until you're ready, Sal, I'd cry if you did. |
Oh Sally,
This is from Kevin! And this from me. All the best, Chris |
Thanks for the reassurances Pals...I knew I could count on you. I feel much better already.
I think I'm giving Damn Dog to EM, for a service dog. Muahahahaha. Not to change the subject, but, what does it mean when it's lightening and thundering with the sun shining? That's what it's doing here right now. |
