Default Arrgghh stupid cog fog

Saw the neuro last week to go over MRI results as well as the latest neuropsych evaluation.

I have 2 new lesions, which the doc didn't seem overly concerned about. However, he was concerned about the evaluation, which showed progressive worsening of short ten memory, retrieval and problems with anxiety and over-checking my work/answers. It also showed depression (how can drawing pics and figuring out patterns show that??).

So, before we address the new sxs and lesions, the neuro has put me on a mild AD.
Ugh...I hate being on them. But I am going to give it a go to see if it helps whatever it's supposed to help.
I see him in one month to report how I am doing. Fun...

i can relate to depression issues. please give the med a chance. you may experience a lifting of some depressive sx's.

i know it helped me out of the forest so i could see the trees. no side effects either. hope you feel better. chin up girl. you can do it.

Debbie, Hope it helps. I can understand why you have been anxious with selling your house and moving to a new house. Hopefully, once your stress level is reduced you will feel less anxious and experience less cog fog. I had two days in Michigan when I couldn't come up with the correct name for lots of things. I kept using the antonym. It was so frustrating. I am hoping it was because I was tired. The problem seemed to go away.

I hear you Deb. I have been experiencing cog fog since my fall and failure of my AD as well. I'm hoping that will go away, once my meds are straightened around.

Feel better soon.

Sally, it seems to be a process of trial and error, doesn't it? So far my depression has lifted a bit, but the anxiety is still very strong at times. I am trying cognitive and spiritual tools to help me. Seems to lessen the worry a bit...fingers crossed...
