Default Saw this last night on the news

Don't know if this is old news but it was new to me and maybe to some on this site.

Dr. Sean Orr in Florida basically ran a scam involving patients where he diagnosed MS where MS did not exists. He is still allowed to practice medicine. This just makes getting a second or even third opinion critical.

Thanks for calling attention to this. Many of us tend to trust doctors just because they are doctors. There are those who abuse that trust, unfortunately.

Wow - all I can say....

[ In 2013, Orr had his license suspended for a year for allegedly having sex with one patient, and two months ago he agreed to pay $150,000 to the Justice Department to settle a whistle-blower fraud suit over the bogus bills without admitting wrongdoing.

But an NBC News investigation has found that Orr — who maintains he "operated within the standard of care" — is back in business, practicing medicine in a new Florida city even as the U.S. attorney weighs possible criminal charges. ]
from link that was posted in first post.

nothing is going to change until our laws start holding white collar criminals accountable for wrongdoing. and dr/pt wrongdoing is tops on my list.

just because they can get $$$ out of him doesn't make the wrongdoing go away. this really makes me sooooo mad.
