Thanks, I'm getting pretty excited too. My first day, I'll be lunching with some friends

I'll probably be too tired to fish once I have my waders and everything on, it has happened before!

Then my general junk bag needs packing (binocs, tripod, camera, corkscrew, etc.), and my warm layers for the elevations. After that, I think it's just a bunch of wash-n-wear jeans/t-shirts/shorts and I'm good to go.

I set up a photo website the other night and I'll upload pics as I go if you want to see them. It will probably be a ton of scenery, for every 100 really bad pics, I usually get at least one good shot.:o

If you get too tired after getting ready to fish, stay dressed and as your name implies AMN head to the water.

Goody good gumdrops, I love to look at pictures of places I've been and especially places I've yet to experience.

:Excited: Wow-We Zow-We! I'd have trouble sleeping just anticipating a road trip like that. You GO Girl! :You-Rock: Wishing you a safe trip now while I am thinking about it.

*leaning in to monitor, squinting*

Sheesh. Where is everyone?

Hi Cindy!

I hope your hand doesn't get any worse. I remember when my right hand was affected last fall. I casually mentioned it to the neuro in November at my quarterly office visit. He says, HOW LONG HAS THIS BEEN GOING ON? :o I say, oh, a few months, it started very gradually and got worse... Then I change the subject.

He gets frustrated because I do that a lot. I'll casually mention symptoms when I'm there for a regular visit. He says I should call him. I don't know why though. I can't take steroids. He thinks if it's something crucial like my right hand I should call.

I figure if I take my regular meds that's all I can do. The steroids make me sick so what else can I do? I mean seriously? He says patients usually are at one extreme or the other. They'll call if they have a numb patch on their leg for an hour, or they'll come in when they're paralyzed from the neck down. :Crazy 2: (That would be me.) :D

Anyway, I hope you can keep your plans for next week ... ;) Have a restful Labor day weekend!

I have to pack my flyrods and fishing gear tomorrow. The rods go up in the interior roof via velcro and my wading gear goes in the secret comparment under the rear panels. I'll probably be too tired to fish once I have my waders and everything on, it has happened before!

Oh Oh Oh!!! I can't wait to see the pics....Please, yes!!!:D

My hands and fingers have been numb for ages....some days worse than others, but it never stopped me from driving. They are still strong and coordinated and I can use them just fine. I hope your numb spot won't cause you too much grief. Just do what my DD does and ignore, ignore, ignore.:D

Oh, gosh, we're going fishing. I haven't done that since I was a kid and my Grandpa took me. An Avid and expert fisherman he was.;) Me? That's a different story.

OK, I'm ready, let's go, Girl.

Huggs for All....Goodnight.

I'm right there with ya Wiz. http://www.thesmilies.com/smilies/rolleye0018.gif
If I remember the sympom when at the docs, I mention it. If not, maybe next time. I figure what is going to happen will. They just want to track everything, and can't do anything most of the time.

Just the way I see it.

Hi Everyone -

Just thought I'd better check in. Having a down day today after my long drive back home yesterday from Portland. It was a nice drive considering it was Saturday - long weekend for most people. The weather was good, the usual place that I stop at for my pit stop was jammed with people so it took an inordinate amount of time for gas, coffee, pit stop, etc! Sheesh!

Got home and unloaded my car! I had 7 different colors of Clematis for one client. Wow are they beautiful! I sure wish the nurseries here had such a good selection. Wow!

Doing some laundry, trying to catch up around here after being gone for 4 days! It's still hot, but it is cooling down.

Cindy! I hope you are doing ok. I am a bit worried about you, just letting you know. I am going to try to catch up with you on your great adventure - somewhere along the line. Not sure where, but you never know about me!

I have a couple of landscape jobs going on and another trip to Portland 19-24 Sept, but we will catch up somewhere.

I have a lot on my plate right now as well as some of you have guessed by reading my posts, but am working through the details, one step at a time.

Friends are important and it's times like these that you find out who your friends are, who you can trust, and who you can't. Life takes many twists and turns, and right now, the ride is rough.

Here's a picture of the Clematis!

Pretty Clematis, FG. hang in there, Hon, things will get better. I hope sooner rather than later.

I just don't know how you do it (the travel and the work) and still live to tell about it. I'm proud of Ya..:D

I've had a lazy day today. Took a bath, cleaned up my program a little so I wouldn't scare the Grands..LOL. The visit was great.:) Took a nap and here I is.

Later Gators,:winky:

How am I today? Really yucky!! The past few days, I've been extra achey so thought it was the fibromyalgia acting up, but then Saturday I discovered a BIG clump of floaters in my left eye with flashing lights that look like swords. Of course with that going on, I feel like throwing up most of the time and have a wicked headache over that eye. :(

Not sure if it's optic neuritis or just the "floater" problem. Had this a couple years ago. As it happens, I'm scheduled for my bi-monthly steroids Tuesday and Wednesday, so hopefully it will clear this up a little faster too!

Fell asleep in my recliner for most of the night, but am "officially" going to bed now. Ah yes, the bladder is going crazy too! Ain't life fun???

Happy Labor Day all.......think I'll just sleep!!

AfterMyNap 09-03-2007 06:58 AM

Ouch, Judy, that's no fun. Sorry to learn that the stupid thing is rearing its ugly head at you again. Do rest as much as you can and hopefully, the pulse will do the trick.

SallyC 09-03-2007 12:06 PM

Well Poopy, Judy! I'm sorry for your pain today. Sometimes sleep is the best cure, so sleep away and hopefully, you will wake up mucho better.:)

Are we packed yet, Cin? I'm gettin' nervous. Did I tell you, I get carsick? Bring plenty of Barf Bags. Is FFM coming with us? It's OK, but she takes up a lot of room and, since I've gained weight...so do I.

OK, back to watching the "Closer marathon on TNT.

AfterMyNap 09-03-2007 01:13 PM

Well, Sal, there's no getting around it, sooner or later I'm gonna have to stick some stuff in the old suitcase. I do have my foul weather gear, fishing gear & misc. bags packed. Clothes is last, so that's all that is left. No biggie.

CBK had major surgery yesterday, she's in recovery. I'm debating about whether she'll be well enough to make the trip. I sure hope it cools down some.

Uh, Sal, have you ever seen the movie, "Vacation"?
