Thanks for posting the article, Kitty. My D level was at 92 when my neuro said "Stop taking so much!". Was taking 5000ius a day, went down to 5000ius twice a week. I don't know what my level is now. Too bad the article didn't mention individual levels, only doses.
Hard for me to comment on the reported benefits. I'm not one to relapse. Is the Vitamin D I take part of that? Could be!

I take 2000 a day. I am going to ask my primary care docotr to have it checked when i see for an appointment in late January. It was below 20 when I was first diagnosed and the last time I had it checked it was only 29, when taking 1000 a day.

This article was written in 2009 so even 6 years ago they were talking about the good effects of D3 on MS.
I'm not sure why there hasn't been more research on this seemingly simple way to help control MS. Oh wait.......Big Pharma is probably scared that if something natural and easy to use is uncovered their profits will be severely cut. Now I don't know if that's true or not but given Big Pharma's track record and the slew of horrible side effect meds they're pushing on us all the time I'd say that's it's more likely than not that they have their hand in the cookie jar. ![]() ![]() I am beginning this week to take 20,000 IU's per day of D3. I will have my levels checked routinely and will cut back if my 25(OH)D levels get too high.

I should probably take extra D3, cause of my lack of sun rays. :confused
Who am I kidding. Too late to reverse any damage to my old MS body. LOL!

My doctor put me on D3, but I ended up suffering with severe side-effects (toxicity to it) so we dropped it down, then down again, then down again.... back to drinking my milk everyday. My body just does not like taking vitamins
