Default Hey! I missed you guys!

hi everyone! it took me awhile to find the new BT.....but, I'm delighted to know you're all still out there! I know that HardyHar has been looking too, I'll send him the link....afterall, he does throw a good party!

I've been on such a roller coaster with the MS, having to stop the Copaxone (financial reasons), on the verge of bankruptcy, in the process of changing neuros, and more.

Not having this lifeline has been difficult and lonesome!

Glad to be back!

Hi Janet!

Sorry to hear you've had a rough time lately. Can you not get assistance to help you pay for the Copaxone? There are lots of good options available to help or completely pay for our drugs . . .

I have a list of some assistance programs, if you'd like me to post it.

Default hi cherie!

thanks, links would be great. I had been getting assistance from NORD, the glitch was I (we) had refinanced the house to pay bills, and it looked like we had money in the bank! so, they wanted extensive explainations etc. And the medicare part d prescription plan so completely fried my brain I couldn't fill out another piece of paper......the MS affects my cognitive more than I like to admit, so sometimes I just don't deal well with the challenges.

I am hoping with the change of dr's (my current neuro is in Towson, MD) and I think it best now that I have someone closer to where I live in Rehoboth, I had a number of flares, not terribly severe, but definately got my attention.

So perhaps starting with a new doctor, and starting over with the process of applying for assistance with meds, I can get back on track.

Thanks for answering ..... you've always been generous with your support and your information and resources, thank you!

Doesn't it seem that Murphy's law enters into things a bit too often sometimes?

I haven't checked these links in quite a long time, but last time I passed them out, apparently at least one of them was very helpful to someone:

Assistance Programs for drugs:

1.) www.pparx.org

2.) http://www.rarediseases.org/

3.) www.edhayes.com/indigent.html

4.) www.themedicineprogram.com/

5.) www.pharmwell.com/indigent.htm

Please let us know if you have any luck, or not, with them.

If ALL ELSE fails, LDN is a cheap (about $25/month) option that seems to be working very well for many of us. I'd hate to see you not taking anything!

Good luck,

Cherie
