I just received a prescription for Provigil from this new prescription assistance program.
If you've ever taken Provigil you know how expensive it is. My insurance denied it at first but I appealed that decision. I need this medication for the extreme fatigue I have with MS. They reversed their decision thank goodness. This assistance program is called Rx Outreach and their telephone number is 1-888-796-1234. Their website is www.rxoutreach.org. If you have insurance but your medication is still too expensive for your budget you are still eligible too participate in the Rx Outreach Program. Anyone of any age can use Rx Outreach as long as they meet the income guidelines. Just give them a call and they'll answer all your questions. It was surprisingly simple to qualify. My Provigil was going to cost me nearly $197 for a 30 day prescription (with insurance) and Rx Outreach was able to get it for me for $80. If you're interested there is a medication list on the website so you can see if your med is available and how much it will cost through their program. I hope this program helps someone else like it helped me. ![]()

That's great you got the price lowered so much, Kitty. And congrats for not backing down from your insurance!

Irony - Through DH we have great prescription plan. Got Provigil and a $1500 DMD for $10 each a month. But neither helped at all, with doctor's approval I've discontinued them years ago. At one time I had over 190 Vicodins. Turns out I'm opnid resistant, didn't do anything at all. Got rid of them responsibly (though kids jokenly told me I could have gotten a lot on street for them). I can have all the drugs I want but nothing works.

DH called it Pro-Wiggle and we had high hopes. But like a hyper-active child uppers had an adverse (opposite) effect on me, bringing me down. As a friend said "Wired but tired". When I asked my GP if she thought me hyper "Well yes, a little". No wonder having twins was so doable.
