I think I want one of these...except that I technically use two walkers. I live in my parent's basement. And it's a pain in the backside to have to carry a folded up walker up and down the stair lift on the stairs. My dad bought me two walkers when I started having to use one. Wish I had the money to buy two this one. One for when I'm downstairs, and in the backyard, and one for upstairs and out in the real world.

I usually pay out of pocket for walkers (or my dad helps me). Maybe I can get one now, and then get another one later on. I'm sure if I got one, my parents would hijack it. So, they'd have to get their own. (they both have medicare, and tri-care insurance. They could probably get medicare to pay for at least one for themselves)

I'm going to have to show this website to my dad.

I believe it weighs about 22 lbs., and that would be pretty heavy. I find that I have to lift my two-wheeled basic walker now and then but it's much lighter.

I definitely agree that 22lbs seems way to heavy to move around. I mean my wheelchair only weighs 16lbs and even it can feel light a beast on a bad day. I really couldn't imagine trying to toss around 22lbs. But I also don't have any walkers to compare the weight differences. I tried a walker a few times back when I injured my back at PT, but I just couldn't get it down. I never felt comfortable with it, we couldn't seem to get the height adjusted right, it didn't fit my stride length and it aggravated everything too much to try and shorten my stride to what felt like tiny baby steps to get around.

Walkers and canes all have that problem--they're something you have to deal with with your arms and hands.

Many people I see with walkers are leaning forward into their walkers so as to hang onto them. I have to keep correcting my posture with my walker to make sure I'm not bending forward. This can't be good if you're trying to maintain an upright posture.

Maybe it's a matter of trying first one thing and then another, and maybe giving up and going back to square one after all.

It looks fancy! Lifting 22 pounds would be tough as it's an odd shape. It's not like lifting 2 bags of potatoes or, in my case, my grandson. I'm also not so sure about the back wheels. I think I would trip over them as I have no sense of space when it comes to my left leg. It kind of does its own thing.

If you try it out, let us know how you like it.

I've pretty much talked myself out of it, for the reasons people have been giving here. It's too heavy and those 5 wheels and other hardware along the bottom of it would be something to trip over. Or at least it adds to the weight of it.
