Default Namenda for sensory pain relief

I went to see a pain doc per my neuros request. He wanted me to up the Lyrica, start Lexapro. Then when I was stabilized start Namenda.

As it was explained to me (and I recall) Namenda is a med for early altzheimers (sp?) patients. It effects a certain chemical in the brain. The pain doc has some MS patients that have found 80% relief.

That sounds really wonderful. Most days, just a 10% reduction would make life easier.

My questions, has anyone heard of this? tried it? Any other comments are welcome.

Thanks in advance.
