Always loved Dr. Bronner's peppermint liquid castile soap. May have less additives and may be cheaper. I used it 40 years ago and it is still around.

Yikes, Starz!!!! I think I would be looking for another soap to use. I mean, I guess it would be ok to descale my dry skin but ...

Kicker - I've heard good things about Dr. Bonner but haven't tried the soap yet. I just put that on my list of things I need to buy and will see if I can find a local store that sells it. I'd like to try it.

Our cold front is over. It lasted a day, if that. We are back in to the high temps. I am so done with this heat!

I used to buy Bronner's off the shelf in Safeway in NJ. Can get off Internet now, Dr. Bronner's has his own site.

Thanks, Kicker! I'll have to check out my Safeway and see if they have it. If not, I am sure other stores will and if not, I will order it online. Does the soap dry your skin out at all? I'm having are hard time with dry skin right now and don't want to add to it by using a drying soap.

Re: Dry skin

All I know is my elderly aunt and her dry skin swore by Castile soap and my daughter is very anti anything with sulfates (does Burt's Bees have?).

We're getting a slight break from the heat. This morning when I woke up it was 70 degrees out!!! I hope that means that the mornings will be cooler like that; but it is doubtful as that would be unseasonably cooler. It was raining so I didn't go out for a walk. Maybe if it is like that tomorrow (without the rain), I will go walking.
